Templar sword for practices In Hoc Signo Vinces

Templar Sword for In Hoc Signo Vinces practices. This handsome Templar sword features a spring tempered steel blade that has been tempered to a Rockwell hardness of approx. 48-50 HRC and is adorned with three pattée crosses. It is full tang and riveted to the knob. The distinctive fuller width extends almost to the tip of the blade, which not only provides great flexibility, but also reduces the weight of the one-handed knightly sword.

The guard of the cross is forged in steel and is engraved with the Latin inscription IN HOC SIGNO VINCES (English: In this sign, you will win). Said to have appeared in the sky in the form of a cross to the first Christian Roman Emperor Constantine the Great during the battle against Maxentius (AD 312), this phrase is today the motto of the American Masonic order of the Knights Templar. .

The leather-wrapped wooden hilt is topped with a disc-shaped flat steel pommel (or wheel pommel) engraved on both sides with a Templar cross motif. The beautiful wood core scabbard is covered in leather and comes complete with a carry belt looped around it.

The 2mm thick blunt edges and rounded blade tip make this cocking sword ideal for combat re-enactment, stage fighting or combat.
