Discover the strength and elegance of the Ronin class Unser Dragonfly Katana - Unokubi Zukuri, forged from 1060 steel. The blade has been honed to a sharp edge and forged in the Unokubi Zukuri style, which is derived from the Naginata and has been carried over to other weapons, such as the Katana. The shape of the blade makes it lighter and perfect for cutting.

The hardness of the blade is 55 HRC and has been measured and confirmed in a test laboratory in Germany. The hilt is wrapped in genuine black silk and stingray skin has been applied to it. The blade and hilt are attached with 3 Mekugi to ensure a firm hold.

The Tsuba, Fuchi, Kashira and Menuki fittings are made of darkened iron and feature the famous dragonfly motif. In ancient Japan, the samurai worshiped the dragonfly because it only flew forward and never turned back. The dragonfly is considered a symbol of determination and bravery, thus reflecting the essence of being a samurai.

The Unokubi Zukuri is a style of Japanese sword forging that is derived from the Naginata and has been transferred to other weapons, such as the Katana. In this style, the blade has a unique shape in that it tapers towards the end and gently curves upward. The result is a lighter and more balanced blade, which is especially suitable for cutting.

The Unokubi Zukuri style is also characterized by a slight curve in the center of the blade , called a Yokote , which helps distribute the weight of the sword evenly and makes it easier to handle the sword. In short, the Unokubi Zukuri style is a forging technique used to create lighter, more balanced sword blades that are ideal for cutting and quick handling in combat.
