Dante's Rebellion Sword in Devil May Cry, screaming skull version with 440 stainless steel blade and zinc handle. The Rebellion is a massive sword with a heavy, double-edged blade, notched on both sides near the tip. In its dormant form, the pommel is a single spike, but after awakening it opens into multiple spikes. The hilt is plain, but the guard is skeletal, with a skull design on each side leading to the ribcage from which the blade emerges; on one side of the blade, the skull is that of a human, while the other uses the skull of a horned demon. Initially, the crosshead is bent against the ribs, but it is extended and the skull transforms into a screaming skull once Dante's blood awakens the sword.
In Devil May Cry 5, Rebellion received a slight redesign. The hilt has an interwoven pattern. The quillons are smaller and have a slight curve. Both the skull and quillons have swirling patterns, and the skull on the 'demon' side now has horns coming out of the eye sockets. The ribcage is now just a raised addition to the blade instead of surrounding it, with the blade backing up to the guard.
