Replica of a two-handed Scottish Claymore Sword from the 16th century. Based on other original 16th century swords (such as those found in, among others, the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh or the British Museum in London), this value-for-money, historically authentic Claymore sword features the classic design of the Scottish sword.
The blade is full tang, wide, long and evenly tapered, forged from EN45 spring steel and rounded approximately halfway along its length. The edges are not sharp. The onion-shaped pommel is made of steel and the hilt is made of stained and polished wood. The steel guard is 29 cm long.
Please note that this Late Medieval/Renaissance two-handed sword is not a battle-ready weapon. It is intended as a collector's item or decoration/display item and is not suitable for combat re-enactment. In addition to its quality as a collectible, it is also perfectly suited as an accessory, for example to complete your costume, and will make your transformation into a proud Scottish warrior perfect.
