Viking round shield with Celtic cross motif, hand painted, 61 cm Ø. The colorful and visually appealing Viking shield that we offer here is made of approx. 13mm thick plywood, covered with linen and elaborately embellished with a hand painted Celtic cross with knotwork designs.

At its center, the shield features an oversized steel bulge that is held firmly in place with four rivets and leaves enough room to accommodate even the strongest of Viking hands. The back of the shield is painted black and provided with a solid wood handle.

Although this early medieval wooden shield may be a bit too light and thin for full contact, it is still a great prop for re-enactment, LARP, stage or TV/film and will make your transformation into a proud Norse warrior simply perfect. In addition, it is also a nice collector's or display piece for all Viking Age enthusiasts.
