Burgundy Kettle capeline helmet from the 16th century, directly inspired by an original helmet dating from the second half of the 15th century, currently on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Reenactors especially love its historically accurate design, ideal for late medieval events, but all types of fighters appreciate the visibility this helmet offers once on the battlefield. It will never impede your vision or breathing, making it one of the most popular helmets on reenactment battlefields and at LARP events.
We have gone to great lengths to try to reproduce the distinctive shape of the same turkey hat that was typical of both the INFANTRY AND LIGHT CAVALRY of the second half of the 15th century and was sometimes worn even by the knights themselves. This beautiful, historic reproduction is HANDCRAFTED from 16 gauge mild steel, lined with a secure, comfortable leather lining. A circumference of approx. 68 cm makes it fit almost all head sizes. And a sturdy chin strap closed with a handsome brass buckle will help keep the helmet in place throughout the battle.
