The ends of medieval garment tying cords or braided cords were often fitted with metal tips, making it easy to thread them through holes and eyelets. These struts are made from sheet metal cut and hammered into shape, then clamped or riveted. Historically, the unstrung aiglets that we offer here can be dated back to the High Middle Ages. Opening: 5-6mm.
