Erik the Red Viking Sword

The bronze sword Viking Erik the Red belonged to the basic armament with the ax, spear and shield, while most of the men wore a short knife attached to his belt. Erik Thorvaldsson was a Viking, merchant and Norwegian explorer of the late 2nd century X.1 He founded the first Viking settlement in Greenland. Born in the district of Jæren, Rogaland, Norway, son of Thorvald Asvaldsson, an exile for murder. It has been speculated that the nickname of the Red possibly out for the hair color.
