The Oseberg style, also called the Broa style, is an early Viking art style in Scandinavia that was common from the late 8th century to the mid-9th century. The Oseberg style appears frequently in wooden and metal objects and jewelry from this period and is named after its lead finds from the ship burial at Oseberg in the Oslo Fjord.

The Oseberg style usually consists of more or less stylized representations of animals, similar to the earlier animal III style, but now supplemented by the so-called griffin animal. First appearing in the Oseberg style, the beasts gave Viking age craftsmen a decorative element whose parts could be arranged however they liked, harmoniously filling every conceivable shape.
