English Archer's Sallet Helmet, 15th century

English archer's helmet based on 15th century Sallet helmets. The hull is made of 1.6mm steel. It has an adjustable leather lining, which is riveted to the helmet. In addition, the helmet is equipped with a chin strap with a brass buckle.

English archers were supposedly the most feared fighting troops in late medieval times. Here we offer a very authentic replica of a 15th century archer-sallet, a time when Britain had little peace. These helmets still entered service during the Hundred Years War and later during the War of the Roses (1455 to 1485).
