Both Japanese John Lee model Aikuchi. The Aikuchi Tanto has a hand forged carbon steel blade with a fine hamon and has been traditionally tempered. It is characteristic of this tanto that it does not present a guard (tsuba). Also notable is the shape of the Unokobi Zukuri blade, which has also been used in part with naginatas (a Japanese polearm). The tapered blade features a hello (fuller) to reduce overall weight. The handle (tsuka) is made of wood, has been covered with real fish skin and features two menukis. It has also been traditionally wrapped in black cotton. The spike is especially long and is fixed with a bamboo peg (mekugi). The sheath (saya) is made of wood and the neck of the blade (habaki) is made of brass. This fighter has been made according to the original museum exhibits. The sword comes with a certificate of origin, wrapped in cloth and packed in a high quality wooden box. All measurements are subject to estimation.
