Sutton Hoo Helmet

The original Sutton Hoo hull was found in 1939 while excavations near Woodbridge, Suffolk, England. Historically it is similar to the Germanic helmets or those of Valgrade or Vendel (Sweden). It is thought that the helmet that was found belonged to an English nobleman who lived between the years 750-775. The original models are displayed in the Armory of the British Museum in London.

Newstra replica is made of carbon steel with details on both the helmet, the ears and the protection for the face. The approximate weight is 2.50 kg. The perimeter of the hull is 61 cms. approx.
