Katana John Lee model Tenkei. Tenkei means edelweiss. The fuller hand forged (Bo-Hi) blade is made from 1095 carbon steel (which is not stainless). Made in Kobuse style, traditionally hardened by clay coating. With real Hamon line. 60 HRC in the chainstay, 40 HRC in the rear. The leaf collar (Habaki) is made of brass and the fittings (Tsuba, Fuchi, Menuki, Kashira) feature edelweiss, decorated with gold and silver. Grip-wrap is Katate Maki-Style (War-wrap) made of silk, under which real ray skin is underlaid. Two dowels (mekugi) secure the blade to the hilt. The Tenkei Katana will be delivered in a wooden box with a sword holder.
