Our St. Wenceslaus Medieval Helmet is a true piece of history that will transport you back to the 10th century. Inspired by an ornately decorated original currently on display in Prague, this nasal helmet is a truly handcrafted gem.

Constructed from 16-gauge mild steel, our helmet offers excellent protection without sacrificing comfort. Its adjustable leather lining provides a secure and ergonomic fit, while its circumference of approximately 68 cm allows it to fit the vast majority of head sizes.

The nasal helmet has been preferred in Europe for centuries due to its versatility and balance between protection and mobility. It is the helmet chosen by Norman knights and footmen in the famous invasion of Saxon England, as can be seen in the Bayeux tapestry.

A particular incident at the Battle of Hastings, illustrated on the Bayeux Tapestry, reveals the importance of this type of helmet. William the Conqueror had to raise his nasal helmet to show his troops that he was still alive, despite the rumors that had spread in his army.
