Black Bernhard medieval doublet with braided cords

Introducing the authentic Bernhard Medieval Doublet with braided cords in elegant black! With its close-fitting fit, this doublet is made from durable cotton twill and features contrast details for a touch of class. It closes at the front with a striking braided cord in red wine color. In addition, it has braided cords at the edge of the sleeves and at the bottom of the doublet, allowing you to adjust it to your size and style. The doublet is lined with a light contrasting cotton fabric. It is important to note that this doublet is not a wams of armor.

The doublet, with its close-fitting cut, became popular during the Early Middle Ages, replacing long, loose tunics. It was usually combined with pants or leggings that were tied directly to the doublet using braided cords. Its typical features include an attached bottom, a body-hugging cut, a small high neck and a braided lace-up front.

Generally, a light shirt or leibhemd was worn under the doublet.
