Gothic steel knee pads 1.6 mm. 15th century

Immerse yourself in the authenticity of the late Middle Ages with these 15th century 1.6mm steel Gothic knee pads. Designed to protect the knee area from the lower thigh to the upper shin, this fully articulated reconstruction of knee plate armor gives you reliable, authentic protection. Made from 1.6mm (16 gauge) steel, these knee pads are blackened on the inside for greater corrosion resistance.

The leg armor set includes poleyns (also known as genouilleres), short legguards with braided cords (including brass tips), and short greaves. All parts are connected by sliding plates or slats hinged on strong steel rivets, providing adequate freedom of movement. The upper edges of the thighguards and lower edges of the greaves are rolled, while the poleyns extend into distinctive fishtail-shaped wings on the outer sides.

On the back, three adjustable, riveted, approximately 3mm thick leather straps with steel buckles allow you to achieve a custom, comfortable fit.

These articulated knee pads are equally suitable for medieval re-enactments, live role-playing (LARP), theatre, television/film or costumes, and are especially appropriate for late medieval settings. Ideal to complete the armor of a European warrior or knight.
