German M42 Stahlhelm helmet, with inner lining. The German Stahlhelm M42 replaced the M35 and M40 models from mid-1942. The main difference from its predecessors was a stretched out rather than flanged rim, and air holes without a recess, which, for example, were riveted on the M35 . This offered reproduction is the last type of model before the end of World War II. The inlay is, like the chin strap, leather.
