Museum replica of The Holy Lance.
High quality replica of the Holy Spear, currently located in the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria. It is an elaborate wing spearhead wrapped with silver wire and brass sleeve. On the brass sleeve is inscribed the Latin phrase: LANCEA ET CLAVUS DOMINI which means spear and nail of the lord.
The Holy Spear in Vienna is on display in the Imperial Treasury at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria. In the 10th century, the Holy Roman Emperors took possession of the spear, according to sources from the time of Otto I (912-973). In 1000, Otto III gave Boleslaus I of Poland a replica of the Holy Spear at the Gniezno Congress. In 1084, Henry IV had a silver band added with the inscription ''The Nail of Our Lord''. This was based on the belief that it was Constantine the Great's spear that enshrined a nail used for the Crucifixion. Source: wikipedia.org
