Most multitools include a large number of tools, many of which are not really very useful. Worse yet, on many of these tools, the all-important knife blade is an afterthought, and barely useful. Not the Select Fire.
The Select Fire was built to be a knife-focused multitool. It's built around a manual opening knife blade that just works and works well. For added strength and edge-holding ability, the blade is made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and sandblasted to an easy-care matte look. Plus, the Select Fire offers a surprisingly comfortable grip, so it's really easy to hold while using that big, handy blade—something most multi-tools can't say.
Designed by Grant & Gavin Hawk, the Select Fire is also a handy multi-tool. There is a 4-piece bit set, plus the collapsible bit driver. The bits, two flatheads and two crossheads, are in built-in holders that swing out to allow you to choose your bit, then swing back to snap into place. The black eyeliners give it a sleek and finished look. The contoured, fiberglass-filled nylon handle is equally comfortable whether you use the blade or the tips.
