Lombard Byzantine reed plates are an excellent choice for re-enactments of the early medieval period. Inspired by a 7th century AD piece of armor, these plates are perfect for creating protective shoulder scale armor.

Each plate measures approximately 8.5 x 2.5 cm and are made of untreated, lightly oiled 20 gauge steel. With a total weight of 1 kg and 325 grams, this set of 100 lombard Byzantine steel lamellar plates will provide you with high quality lamellar armor.

To ensure the durability of the plates, they are carefully covered with a temporary layer of oil that acts as a protector against corrosion and rust. This layer can be easily cleaned using an oil remover or simply with a dry cloth.
