Gothic medieval gorget and bib (15th-16th centuries)

Made of 1.2 mm (18 gauge) steel and blackened on the inside for better corrosion resistance, this set is a faithful reconstruction of the throat and chin plate armor from the Gothic era. The gorget and bib, solidly fixed together, have the characteristic multi-layered appearance of late Gothic armor.

The bib consists of three parts: a gorget and chin piece, riveted together, and a sliding top plate for additional face protection. The top plate is articulated with rivets, allowing it to be raised or lowered according to your needs. Reinforced at the top edge and with round openings for proper ventilation, this piece rises below the eyes when in the raised position.

The back of the bib is left open (without neck plate) and is equipped with a leather strap approximately 2 mm thick, riveted and with a brass buckle. The strap is adjustable in size to ensure a custom and comfortable fit.
