Chainmail trousers (12th-13th century)

These chainmail pants are directly inspired by the type of protection worn by knights and some middle managers in the 12th and 13th centuries. They first appear in William the Conqueror on the Bayeux Tapestry in 1066. At the time it was a luxury and that is not a danger if only Duke William himself is wearing those chain mail and many of the other Norman knights were not. . By the early 12th and 13th centuries, it was becoming the standard equipment of a medieval knight, perfectly completing the long-sleeved, knee-length chain mail, making the knight nearly invulnerable.

The 16 gauge steel jump rings (9mm diameter each) are stronger than regular mild steel round jump rings, ensuring that your chain mail will be durable equipment, battle after battle. If you are looking for even more resistance, opt for our riveted collection. It comes in one size that fits most.
