A gothic knight is a terrifying opponent on a medieval battlefield, because he knows that most of his lesser-equipped enemies cannot harm him one bit through his trusty gothic breastplate. But in the late Middle Ages, not every soldier could afford full armor. So the easiest compromise used by rangers, pikemen, light cavalry and mercenaries was to wear just a breastplate solidly strapped across the back instead of a full cuirass. Whichever character you're aiming for, be sure our pretty gothic breastplate will add a touch of authenticity. Simply pair it with one of our gambesons and some fancy gothic shoulder pads (sold separately), and you've got yourself a fully functional combination for your next LARP or re-enactment!
