Venetian tricorn mask. Made of decorated resin. Venetian masks emerged to protect the identity of the wearer and are currently a mere artistic and cultural representation of this emblematic city.

It is intuited that the first ones appeared around the 9th century, as an act of rebellion towards the social impositions of the Republic of La Serenísima. Preserving their anonymity, all citizens could act according to their thoughts. Everyone had a voice regardless of their social scale.

Venetian masks became a Symbol of Freedom, Hedonism and Immorality, which allowed to unleash imagination and unlimited parties.
