Almost every tomahawk you can buy on the market today can trace its roots back to the Hudson Bay ax used for centuries in the vast forests and swamps of northeastern Canada. Renowned for its versatility and effectiveness, the Hudson's Bay ax became indispensable to anyone attempting to make a living in the wild.
The Cold Steel® team is also a big fan of this famous ax pattern and decided to scale it back to the tomahawk format. Forged from 1055 high carbon steel, like all Cold Steel® cold forged hawks, it offers approx. 9cm long blade in the classic shape, as well as a substantial 'nape' that can be used for striking, crushing and hammering. You can even drive nails and spikes with it, as it too, like the blade, is differentially hardened. Fitted with a sturdy, straight-grain hickory handle, it's ready for a life in the woods, and in a pinch, it'll also double as a terrifyingly effective weapon.
