The gladius in real life appears insufficient compared to the photo and especially to the price. I have bought from Tienda Medieval at a much lower price a gladius of much higher quality like the 'gladius Julius Caesar'. It has the hilt inserted into the blade by casting; practically it can't be disassembled and is overall very light. In practice, it is just of good appearance.
