Vikings is a series that is based on the legends about the Viking Ragnar Lodbrok, (Travis Fimmel) one of the most famous heroes of the Nordic culture who plundered Northumbria, France and Brittany. The series portrays Lodbrok as a curious and navigating warrior, technologically innovative, ambitious and rebellious, who builds a boat for his friend Floki, to launch to explore the territories west of Scandinavia disobeying the tribal chief, Count Haraldson, who orders to travel towards the east (cardinal orientation in which it was speculated with great wealth at that time).
