Functional River Witham sword

River Witham sword functional model. The original sword was found in the River Witham near Lincoln in eastern England. It is thought that the original sword dating from the thirteenth century.

The blade is AISI 1566 carbon steel and is sharp. The sword has the following engraved + NDXOXCHMDRCHDXORVI +. The blade is full tang and knob riveting. It includes wooden sheath covered with leather. Features may vary slightly from piece to piece. P>
