Roman Spatha model Podlodów, S. III. The blade is forged in steel EN45 high carbon content. The empuladura is made of wood with details in brass. Includes sheath of wood covered in leather with finishes of brass. This spatha roman is a reconstruction based on several original of the 3rd century, found near Podlodów (now Poland), in the region, archaeological culture, Przeworsk. Also found some more leaves of the type Podlodów along or close to the Limes, the border of the Roman Empire. It is assumed that most of these vendel originated in the forges roman and eventually found their way beyond the limits of the Empire towards the Barbaricum.
