The Legio IX Hispana, also known as Legio IX Hispana Macedonia Victrix), was a Roman legion created in the middle of the 1st century BC. C., together with the VI.ª, the VII.ª and VIII.ª by Pompey in the year 65 a. C.2â César directed it for the first time as governor of Hispania Ulterior in 61 a. C.
