The surface of the bowl has been finished (painted) with a custom tri-color camouflage pattern (khaki, green, and red) and aged to give it a genuinely weathered appearance. The thin artificially rusted iron wire surrounding the Wehrmacht helmet makes it even more authentic and provides additional camouflage options by attaching leaves or twigs. The interior features heavy-duty leather interior padding with an aluminum band or ring. A 1 cm thick shock-absorbing foam padding is placed between the leather lining and the helmet shell.
